Monday, July 24. Santorini.

We left Naxos and ferried to Santorini. My friend Dave Love and I travelled to Santorini approximately thirty-five years ago.  I don’t recognize much, just the ocean, cliffs and white buildings.

Below:  View from our porch

Above:  We walked down to a Amoudi beach/port to watch the sunset. Our hotel is at the top of the stairs you can see transversing the cliffs. 350 steps. For exercise this morning I ran/walked up them, mostly walked…and over a lot of donkey poop. Apparently you can hire a donkey to carry you up.

Above: view from our front door

Below:  our Cave Suite. It is actually built into the side of the cliff.

Above:  view from the women’s restroom, or the WC, on the ferry to Santorini.

Below:  we purchased two swim caps, worn by the lady on the right of the photo, for Memaw and Grammy. It can be used for swimming, showering, boat riding or running to the resort for Gooey’s. It’s all the rage here. I think Kurt has one!

The five photos below the stylish cap are of downtown Naxos before we left for Santorini.
