I was finally able to download the video of Brianne and her friend we met in Filoti, Naxos. We had a great time getting to know about his family and life. He owns the local hardware store.
His dad is 101 years old and his mom is 95, both are still alive. Well, Brianne chatted him up, as she usually does, and we had a great time getting around our language barrier and getting a taste of what life is like in Greece. I videotaped a section seen below. Towards the end he got out his own homemade brew, Ouzo, and shared it with us.
From Wikipedia…….Ouzo (Greek: ούζο, IPA: [ˈuzo]) is an anise-flavoured aperitif that is widely consumed in Greece and Cyprus. Its taste is similar to other anise liquors.
He asked if I was driving and said I couldn’t have any. Well…he said maybe just a drop
View of the streets in Oia after the sunset. Everyone gathers on the cliffs and then…
