Sunday, July 30. Rome.

Below:  I know Greece has had its financial and political issues the last few years. If Italy has had any issues recently it could all be boiled down to one thing, that I have found…

Peanut butter!

There is no peanut butter in this part of the world!  Look at the photo below and try to find the one type of peanut butter. It is small and it costs about $7. It is common knowledge that many choices in types, variety and crunchiness of peanut butter has a direct corollary  to successful democracies, peace and overall contentment in politics, like America!

Below:  what’s really convenient in Rome is that everywhere across the city you can get fresh, clean and usually cold water right from a running spigot.

Below:  For the third day in a row we had lunch at Roscioli’s. Thin crust pizza with tomato sauce, motzerella cheese, sliced tomato and basil.  Walk up to the counter, indicate with your fingers how big a slice you want and they cut it.

Everything in Rome is so big!  And with all the pizza, pasta and gelato, so are Brianne and Tim.
