Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico

This morning Kurt and I walked to our new favorite coffee shop, The Cabo Coffee Company, and tried to act like locals. We talked to a few ex-pats who are now living in Cabo. One dude had a pink ’67 VW Baja Bug, the other couple were driving a motorcycle they bought from Wal-Mart new, for $800.

We returned to our sleeping beauties bearing their new favorite drinks, the Mayan Mocha.

Brianne and I suggested we hike a nearby hill with a cross on top, promising great views. Deanna said she had a blister from riding ATVs and Kurt said something about wanting to swim with the seals. Maybe it’s me…or maybe it’s that I don’t shower and brush my teeth on vacation.

On our hike we ran into Enrique who was hiking the hill with his 15 dogs. He runs a local dog shelter and was trying to get people to adopt his friends. Apparently he hiked the hill daily with his dogs.

Oh, and a Carnival cruise ship arrived bringing a few thousand tourists to town to join us.

Late addition to this post:  Our last night in Cabo we went to Los Claros taco shop which boasted the fest fish tacos in town.  We should have tried the Crunchy Marlin tacos but instead went with the traditional fish, chicken and pastor tacos. Jorge was a great host/waiter and we enjoyed our last night south of the border.

We would highly recommend the Terra Sol condos found on vrbo.com and suggest you look up Samuel for booking events in and around the Cabo area.
